<p>This layer is developed for internal CTDOT use, is a cartographic rendering of DOT Roadway Inventory records of the milepoint along designed state routes and roads. Milepoints are collected at segmentation junctions and then evenly distributed over the geographic representation. This can cause some 2D renderings to look stretched or truncated based on a 3D driven mile representation. It should not be referenced or incorporated in any manner in any legal document or proceedings. The data is collected with an accuracy of .01 and the begin and end of routes are at the lateral extension of the curb cut and therefore when the 3d collection is brought into a 2d LRS environment, the first and last segments will have a measurement distribution of the first and last segments that may appear visually to be misaligned.</p> |
